陳安然(Onnie)

Artistic Director

Artistic Director of Banana Effect and creator of Immersive Game Theatre. She was graduated in Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in BA Acting(Hon). During her studies, she was rewarded with Fredric Mao Scholarship and the Best Actress Award. She then became the fulltime actress of Hong Kong Repertory Theatre from 2009 to 2011.
 

After that, she went to London to continue her studies in Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. During her stay in London, she created a Physical Theatre Rootless , Immersive Theatre piece Yesterday was a Lie and Psychopomp .

 

From 2013 to 2014, Onnie became the Creative Director of FreeingHK!(Escape Game). As one of the early developer of the company, she created over 30 game rooms which were sold all over the world. Onnie merged the elements of Immersive Theatre, online games and reality games in her creations.

 

In 2014, She became the founder and artistic director of Banana Effect, a group dedicated to advancing the art of immersive game theater. Onnie lead the group to create Immersive Theatre Shows in Hong Kong, Iceland and US included The Key Man, Alice in the Stuckyland, The Game of Life etc.

 

As an active member of her community, she has held many workshops in partnership with groups such as Hong Kong Design Institute, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University , Stanford University Human Cities Initiative, Sai Kung District Community Centre, Youth Outreach, Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, Hong Kong Youth Association, and Hong Kong Chinese Culture Development Association. Her teachings have included storytelling skills, drama, radio drama, and Immersive Theatre.

 

Recently, Onnie just came back from the US. She participated in an Art fellowship that was held by Yale-China Association and HKETO. During her stay, she held workshops and talks to share her experience and passion about Immersive Theatre in the School of Drama and School of Art in Yale University. She had also joined the International Festival of Arts & Idea in June and created an Immersive Theatre show called Never Stand Still .

 

Founder and Production Director of Banana Effect. King was graduated from East 15 Acting School(UK) in Physical Theatre(BA). King was also trained in Circus, Stage Combat and Puppetry. King has worked as a puppeteer for years. His most recently works is Super MAMA Supermarket. King is now teaching puppetry in TVs, schools, malls and private classes for adults and companies. King is now learning traditional Chinese puppets from master Wong Fai. King is also good at masks and qualified in unarmed fight and sword fight. His most recent work is fight choreographer for the Nonsensemaker Theatre and private class for teenagers.

Production Director

Founder and Creative Director of Banana Effect. Brian graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University and has studied in Czech Republic for a year. He has won the “CEO MC Competition” and became the NowTV artist since then. Brain mainly focus on entertainments, sports and tourism programme. He has been to many countries such as Africa, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore etc. and interviewed many celebrities.

 

Brian was the MC hosts of many big companies’ annual dinner such as Yahoo!, Cathy Pacific, PCCW etc. Brain also active in many other art works such as Red Carpet hosts, TV commercial actors.

 

Brian had participated in numerous Patrick Kong’s move. He is now writing columns for Milk Magazine. He was also a book author.
